LessAdmin named as sponsor of Red Bull America’s Cup Team

San Francisco, California, Friday, April 12 — LessAdmin, who provide a software application that makes managing yacht campaigns and events easier, today agreed to become the first sponsor of the American Youth Sailing Force (The Force) team.  The Force is one of 10 teams competing in the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup from 1-4 September 2013 in San Francisco.

“We are extremely excited to be supporting such talented young sailors and be part of the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup,” said Adrian King, CEO of LessAdmin.  “We have just opened an office in downtown San Francisco to promote the software to the US yachting market. The timing couldn’t be more perfect.”

Ian Andrewes (24), The Force Sailing Team Manager commented, “It is fantastic to have LessAdmin on board as sponsor. Not only are the LessAdmin team competitive sailors so they understand some of the pressures the team are under, but they also understand how to raise the profile of the team through PR and social media. That is critical as one of our goals is to get more kids into sailing in the Bay Area.”

But sponsorship should be more than just money. LessAdmin is making sure that The Force is able to get the most out of the software which will help them reduce the campaign’s management and logistics overhead. So the team can do what they are all good at – winning events.

“We are delighted to be able to use the software as the program is extremely complex with a number of different groups; crew, shore team, admin team all working remotely, plus all the supports and fans. LessAdmin means everything is in one place and accessible from anywhere. It will transform our ability to focus on the getting the crew up to speed so they are in a position to win the Cup,” said Kim Paternoster, Operations Director.

Training alongside the Oracle team at their facilities in San Francisco, they have the talent, experience and determination to win. They have assembled an enviable support team of professionals to make sure that they are in a position to win the Cup in September. Racing will take place in the same high performance, wing-sailed AC45 catamarans that are used in the America’s Cup World Series.
